The unfailing Love of Jesus Christ
I have always been curious on how Jesus felt when He finds out that one of his children cares and wants to know more about Him. To feed my curiosity, I did my research and based on my findings, I came to understand that Jesus is mostly overwhelmed with joy and love when one of his creations decides to spend even 1 hour out of the 24 hours He gave us in his presence, seeking him and wanting to have a deeper relationship with him. Jesus is your creator and you are His greatest creation. He breathed through your nostrils the breath of life. Genesis 2:7. He knows the numbers of hair on your head and before a word cometh out of your mouth, he knows it. Matthew 10:30, Psalms 139:4 Apparently, there is not much left for him to learn or find out about you nor me. Jesus loves you so much that he would like to have you in his presence everyday if possible. I found an interesting passage in Genesis 3:8 that goes like so;
"And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden".
This passage basically suggests that back then, God himself would come to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden on a regular basis and have multiple conversations with them and give them instructions. Until the devil managed to deceive Adam's wife, Eve to eat from the tree of good and evil. It is sad to say but, if only they both had not eaten from the tree of life, us too could have been able to share this privilege they had. Conversing with God face to face on a daily basis. Though many may argue that is still a possibility today I bet that if Adam and Eve were still alive, the would agree with me that the experience they had with God in the Garden of Eden is far away different from the one you and I might have nowadays God wanted us so close to him so that he could be able to share everything with us but humankind disappointed Him.
Nevertheless, that did not stop his unfailing love for us when His Father suggested to exterminate you and I from the surface of the earth. Jesus felt empathy for us that he decided to leave the splendour, beauty, glory, holiness, wonder and perfection of heaven to come to the dirt, sin, trouble and sadness of earth. God has a crush on you, He does not want to lose you, he wants to make sure you know and understand the kind of love He has for you. By dying at the cross and taking the curse upon himself, He surely expressed His great love for you so that if you believe in him you should not perish, but have everlasting life. By wearing the crown of shame and sorrow, and suffering its fate, Jesus brought the reign of thorns to an end for all who repent of their rebellion and put their faith in Him. All Jesus has ever wanted, was for you to have a fulfilled and blessed life.
It pleases God too when He sees that you are interested in spending time in His presence trying to know and understand Him. By doing such things it is rewarding since you will discover Jesus in all His authenticity and the plans He has for your life with the help of the Holy Spirit. He will reveal to you all the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven. A kingdom where we will wear crowns, not of our own making, but of his, crowns of righteousness which we will gladly throw at the feet of their rightful owner. James 1:12, Revelation 2:10, 1 Peter 4-5
