The Golden Silence

Image
On a daily basis, we are presented with multiple scenarios to show and practice humility. That could be at work, at school, in public places, on social media, etc. Perhaps in our ways of interacting with others, dressing, walking, eating and the list could go on.  We are living in modern society, in which some people are more privileged than others in different aspects. Being aware of your privileges as an individual can have a powerful impact on the outcome of many things. Day by day,  I am realizing how important it is to have a voice and be able to express myself on different topics. I am privileged among those who God blessed with a voice.  Being able to raise my concerns, opinions and thoughts has been a daily blessing because I know that there are people out there that can not do so due to a variety of reasons. However, not long ago it became clear that the same voice that  I am very grateful for can get me in trouble, just as much as a blessing could...

Zuleikhas of the 21 Century

We make God happy when we lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us. “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God”.  Hebrews 12:1-2 Jesus is delighted when we conquer sin just as Joseph did when he was confronted by Potiphar’s wife. Joseph observed Solomon's helpful advice that is found in Proverbs 5: 1-8. ...

Jesus Smilling

He enjoys knowing that someone cares and loves Him too. 2 Corinthians 5:9 tells us that we have to make it our goal to please Him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. There is a man in the Bible who found the secret on how to make God Happy. According to 2 Samuel 11 David committed adultery and murder. Regardless of his multiple sins and crimes that did not give God a reason to disregard David. Instead he claimed him and said He was a man after God’s own heart. David had something that many of us lack in different scenarios; the integrity of the heart. He knew how to repent whenever he sinned against God. 1 Samuel 13:14 According to Isaiah 59:1-2, God's arm is not  too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear. But our iniquities have separated us from your God; our sins have hidden His face from us, so that He will not hear.  Jesus has made us happy by dying for our sins and bridging the separa...
